Sustainable development and protection and preservation of the environment are fundamental goals of the WTO. They are enshrined in the Marrakesh Agreement, which established the WTO, and complement the WTOs objective to reduce trade barriers and eliminate discriminatory treatment in international trade relations. As a result of this No Protection policy, thousands of miles of streams and wetlands are at risk from unlimited development, pollution and destruction. The Bush administration’s own Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) estimates that 20 million acres of wetlands, 20 percent of the wetlands in the continental U.S., could lose protection because of this policy.

To protect workers from potential adverse health effects due to those conditions, the U.S. Navy has established exposure. Human and animal health can also be harmed by the pathogens and nitrogen in animal waste. For astronomers, trying to collect the faint light of distant objects, this "light pollution" has become a serious problem. Some lights are worse than others in terms of the number of colours (wavelengths) they block from celestial objects. Store the vars as properties on the object, like a hash table.
